The worst instance of an excruciatingly bizarre moment comes from the conclusion of Series 2's Love & Monsters. After coming to care about the charming characters Elton and Ursula, and rooting for their budding romance to work out, audiences are left with Ursula reduced to being a piece of pavement for the rest of her life. How long she has isn't certain either, since the life expectancy of quasi-human paving isn't a known quantity. But it's OK because she's with Elton and they still have a bit of a sex life. No, hang on a minute. It isn't OK, actually! In fact, it's completely beyond bizarre to even suggest that it might be fine. What was the Doctor thinking? If anything, he should have taken Ursula into the far future where advanced medical techniques could be used to clone her a new body, and once she was healed, return her home. That would not only have made for a more ethical ending, it would have been one without tasteless innuendo about what Ursula and Elton get up to in the bedroom. Oh, and it goes without saying that the Abzorbaloff was pants, too. What did you think of this list? Are there any other bizarre moments in Doctor Who history that should have been included?
