7. Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett - Orange Is The New Black
Tiffany Doggett's death in the second to last episode of Orange Is The New Black is one which is both tragic and ultimately pointless. Having begun the series as a religious zealout and out-and-out antagonist, her character arc is incredibly nuanced and arguably one of the series' best.
During much of the final season, Pennsatucky studies for her General Educational Development, which will hopefully leave her with many more prospects in the real world after a long stretch in prison.
When her teacher realises that she may have dyslexia, she is granted extra time for the test. However, the paperwork fails to be filled out and she finishes the test believing she has failed. Devastated, she relapses into drug use and is found dead via from an overdose.
It then turns out that despite not having had the extra time, she still passed her GED, only adding further salt to the wound.
