20 Worst Doctor Who Episodes Ever

6. The Curse Of The Black Spot

Doctor Who The Lie of the Land Peter Capaldi
BBC

The Curse of the Black Spot is a mess. Missing pirates, a woefully miscast Hugh Bonneville, and a "scientific" explanation for the Siren that seems more magical than anything in folk tales.

The biggest issue is the ending, in which Rory Williams dies... again. If The Curse of the Black Spot had gone out when intended (in the second half of the series), then it might've had more of an impact.

Especially after A Good Man Goes To War and Let's Kill Hitler – Amy fighting to save Rory's life would've landed much better after we'd already seen her lose her daughter.

But a handful of episodes after she already brought him back to life in the Series 5 finale, and we're all looking at our watches.
