Few characters inhabiting Westeros have been quite so indomitable as Cersei Lannister - more so than Jamie, she seems to have adopted her recently deceased father's approach to politics characterised by a cold and ruthless pragmatism and plenty of deception, which has served her well over the years. With Tywin Lannister now gone and her twin brother off to Dorne, not to mention having been reduced to the status of Queen Mother, Cersei's fortunes in season 5 are at their lowest. With the introduction of the fanatical Sparrows it at first seemed as if she had found a useful organization to put newly-crowned Queen Margaery in her place - but as the saying goes, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Cersei's sudden imprisonment for incest is perhaps the first time throughout Game of Thrones where she's looked vulnerable, while the undignified sight of her licking water off a dirty dungeon floor was one that nobody anticipated seeing.
