25 Best Superhero TV Shows Of All Time
18. The Incredible Hulk
Mark Ruffalo may have spent the past decade Hulking it up on the big screen thanks to some cutting-edge CGI, but in many people's minds, the definitive Incredible Hulk will always be the one we saw in the 1978 TV series.
Starring Bill Bixby, the classic series was more serious than the superhero shows of its ilk as the brilliant David Bruce Banner went on the run and let the world think that he was dead so that he could ultimately figure out a way to cure his green affliction. Adding another layer of drama to the show, he was being pursued by a relentless reporter who sought to prove that the Incredible Hulk was a menace to society.
A timeless show, it was in a league of its own for a long time, as it innovatively wrote its own variation of the legendary Marvel Comics character's story while Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno's portrayals of the Banner and Hulk personas have gone down in history as one of the greatest (and most terrifying) interpretations of a superhero of all time.
