25 Greatest TV Theme Tunes Of All Time

10. Fresh Prince of Bel Air

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVbQo3IOC_A One of, if not THE coolest theme tunes on this list sung by one of, if not THE coolest guys in Hollywood- this is definitely deserving of a place on anyones greatest TV themes of all time. This is probably the theme song that comes up most of the time in quiz's, where you are asked to sing along to the whole entire song. A lot of you probably think you know all the lyrics but surprisingly it is much more difficult than you think (especially the part staring at 1 minute in- which was cut from most of the television episodes). Still, I challenge you all to play this theme and try to sing along to all the words without making even one mistake. If you manage this first go, please tell me in the comments section below. If you fail, you will probably have a good time attempting it because it is by far the funnest theme song to sing in this entire list. Enjoy.

9. Flintstones

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PPf3aaZmUw Before I re-watched this theme just now, I would have said I surely would have been able to sing along to the entire words of this song... turns out- not so much. Even still, this is one of my personal favorites and certainly one of the most iconic theme songs to any cartoon series that most people more or less know the words too. I don't know about you, but I was super annoyed when I heard earlier this year that Seth Macfarlanes rebooted Flintstones series would no longer see the light of day. I for one would love to see these characters return to the screen in a fresh looking series with more up to date comedy and can not think of a more perfect person for this than MacFarlane (Family Guy's theme almost made it onto this list). Hopefully this reboot is not yet completely extinct. Plus, I only just now realized that the opening scene to The Simpsons copies a lot from the opening scene to the Flintstones- why I never made this connection before I do not know.

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
