Who? J.J. Abrams (creator); Melanie Lynskey, Andre Holland, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy.

What? A psychological horror based on the tales of Stephen King, intertwining characters and themes from the town of Castle Rock.

Why? 2017 was a big year for King, but recent efforts at adapting his work to TV haven't made the kind of splash the movie versions have. Castle Rock could change that. With strong source material and 80s nostalgia, Abrams should be a fine choice to bring this to the small screen, aided by an excellent cast. Just as enticingly is the teaser, which teased a number of great King stories, including It, Salem's Lot, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Shining.
