25 Most Hotly Anticipated New TV Shows Of 2020

ABC’s newest single-camera comedy hails from smoking hot writer/director Nahnatchka Khan and writer Niki Schwartz-Wright, and was snapped up as a put pilot (meaning that they’ve guaranteed to broadcast it or they’ll lose a ton of cash) this past autumn.

Valley Trash follows the trials and tribulations of 14 year old Abby, who - despite her resolutely working class background - is accepted into a prestigious private school in LA and finds herself surrounded by snobby rich kids who can’t stand her.

It’s basically a two-way culture shock comedy with an immaculate creative pedigree - Khan’s just coming off the success of her feature film Always Be My Maybe, and with Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 and Fresh Off the Boat has form for this kind of show.

There’s no word on casting or release date for this yet, but scuttlebutt (like gossip in a fish-out-of-water scenario) says it’s definitely due next year, and is being touted as one to watch.
