28 WTF Moments From The Flash's Season 2 Premiere

17. R.I.P. Ronnie Raymond

Firestorm The Flash
The CW

Remember that earlier moment? You know, the one where Barry is claiming how he is an undeserving hero? Well we find out that the reason for so much of his gloomy mood is because Ronnie Raymond is no longer of this Earth.

Taking things back to how things were resolved with the gigantic wormhole, it’s revealed that Firestorm came to The Flash’s aide in order to save the day. Whilst the day was indeed saved, poor Ronnie was lost in the battle.

This was a stark reminder of the cost of heroism and it was a moment of the episode that certainly hit home hard.

Of course, the door is firmly open for Ronnie to return down the line, especially given the notion of the multiverse and time travel, but for now he’s no longer part of the picture.
