28 WTF Moments From The Flash's Season 2 Premiere

14. Iris Is Better?

The Flash Pilot Iris West
The CW

The one big gripe throughout all of last season was how horrendous a character Iris West was.

After all, this is Barry Allen’s ‘one true’ in the comic book world and somebody who plays a key part in everything that he does. Yet in The Flash, Candice Patton’s Iris was often depicted as a stroppy teenager and someone who Barry should steer well clear off – particularly considering how much a of a better fit Malese Jow’s Linda Park was for him.

It’s certainly early days, but the Season 2 premiere definitely saw Iris acting a lot less d*ckish, even, dare I say it, likeable.

In fact, it’s Iris who takes the initiative and looks to ‘bring back the gang’ even though Barry becomes pig-headed in wanting to protect the world on his lonesome.
