30 Best Kids TV Theme Tunes Of The 1980s

26. The Real Ghostbusters

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odQnYIuMn-A "Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters!" Who doesn't like this?! Of course, most people remember the famous Ghostbusters song from the 1984 live action movie and not the cartoon that came out in 1986 - but that doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a place on this list. And of course the ending theme music was just as memorable. As the same Ghostbusters tune plays, the titular quartet dance down the street as crowds of people celebrate them. Lovely stuff!

25. He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yeA7a0uS3A Forget She-Ra - He-Man was the best Filmation hero, with his series (which was one of the best cartoons of the 1980s) running from 1983 to 1985. That said, there were better Filmation openings (coming later). In this opening theme, He-Man raises aloft his magic sword and explains which of his friends share his powerful secret. Then he explains that he defends Castle Grayskull, then transforms Cringer in to BattleCat and introduces Skeletor as his enemy. As this goes on, the infamous tune played (the one we all sung along to with words like "I have the power to pick up a flower...").
