10. The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang

The highest placed finale on our list, Series 5's last bow is one of the most ridiculous yet assured episodes of the show ever. It most probably contains more concepts and ideas than any other (all the Doctor's enemies united, Rory returned from the dead, the destruction of all of reality...), yet it manages to keep you hooked and entertained by way of the confidence that it weaves all these storylines together. The first episode is likely the stronger of the two but The Big Bang's breaking of one the show's big rules (the Doctor can't cross his own personal timeline) is done with such gleeful abandon you have to applaud it.
