4 Ups & 7 Downs From Doctor Who - Revolution Of The Daleks

3. The 'Defence Drone' Daleks

Contextually, reusing the design of the reconnaissance Dalek from 'Resolution' was justified in 'Revolution of the Daleks.' As someone who didn't dislike the scrapheap challenge Dalek, I welcomed our new defence drone overlords. Once Dalek Leo's clone farm had teleported living Daleks into these robotic shells, their menacing red glow brought about a truly terrifying variant of this iconic adversary.

Though many were understandably worried about Chibnall using this design as the design for our favourite pepper pots going forward, another big win for these Daleks is that they were eradicated from existence by their 'purer', bronze counterparts- which in themselves were great to see again on screen. I don't necessarily want to see these defence drones on screen again, I'd rather see them on my shelf, as I await the inevitable merchandise.

Also the go-to for Doctor Who, and could tell you why Sans Serif fonts are better than most. Still occasionally tap dances under the desk.
