4 Ups & 7 Downs From Doctor Who - Revolution Of The Daleks

4. Grace's Ghost

Revolution of the Daleks Doctor Who

Good grief. Where to even begin with this. After a satisfying goodbye in the TARDIS control room, we come full-circle for Ryan and Graham, heading back to the hill where Ryan tries to ride a bicycle. After he tries and fails once again, with Graham offering aid at his side, the pair look up to see the ghost of Grace appear, and smile at them both.

As Ryan and Graham smile back, and perhaps wipe away a tear, we cut to a wide shot before the credits begin to roll. Talk about a big ol' cringe ending. Grace's emotional punches had been all but used throughout Series 11, and even the idea of these potentially tearful hits landing every time Chibnall throws a punch is simply deluded thinking. Some might have been weeping at the telly at this point, but I, along with many others, were too busy looking on in borderline disgust.

Born in Theatre, sits at a Computer. After over a decade of tinkering with Video Editing software, Rich gets to spend his precious time editing whatever's thrown at him. Also the go-to for Doctor Who, and could tell you why Sans Serif fonts are better than most. Still occasionally tap dances under the desk.
