1. The Curse Of Fatal Death (Comic Relief, 1999)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do-wDPoC6GM If you've ever watched an episode of Mr Bean and happened to wonder how Rowan Atkinson would fair as our beloved Oncoming Storm, look no further than The Curse of Fatal Death, the iconic Red Nose Day escapade which holds a special significance in the heart of the Doctor Who fandom. Aired during the Comic Relief festivities back in 1999, this light-hearted tribute also starred screen icons Richard E. Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant and Joanna Lumley who all came together to raise money for a worthy cause whilst saluting everybody's favourite Time Lord, who hadn't been seen on screen since the short-lived adventures of Paul McGann in the titular role. The Daleks were there too, as the Daleks often are, and it is still regarded as one of the best of the Doctor's charitable offerings, not only because it helped bridge the gap between the 1996 TV movie and the franchise's eventual 2005 revival. It also happened to be written by Steven Moffat, and, well, we all know where he's ended up...
