4. The Vault
The Vault is the king of Doctor Who publications, detailing the entire history of the show from the very beginnings in 1963 to what was present day when it was published in 2013. In telling its story it makes good use of old Doctor Who relics, allowing fans to literally see the history of the show through their own eyes with the abundance of exhibits and photographs. It is a true delight to read and worth every Whovians time. So who should read this book? Everybody in time and space. It's a real treat for Classic Who fans, and absolutely fantastic for Nu Whovians alike. This one is definitely more suited for older fans in language and writing style. Price-wise this was one of the more expensive 50th anniversary books with an RRP of £30, though it is currently available for as little as £5.
