5 Doctor Who Books You Have To Read In 2015

5. 50 Years: The Essential Guide

50 Years: The Essential guide is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, an essential guide to the first 50 years of Doctor Who! The book covers a lot of material, including episode lists, recaps of the most iconic episodes and information on all companions and enemies. It's great fun as a quick recap read and a fantastic tool to learn more about the series if you're a newer fan. With the amount of accompanying images and the lighter text this one could be a good book for the younger fans of the show, too. The one downside, which unfortunately is a downside to many current Doctor Who books, is that it was published for the 50th anniversary and as a result only covers up to 2013. Price-wise, the RRP for this book is £12.99 but it's currently available for as little as £6.99 via some retailers. Well worth a read if you get the chance!
