5 Doctor Who Writers Who Should Return For Series 9 (Plus 5 New Ones)
4. Christopher Nolan
Ok, so this one is somewhat more of a forlorn fantasy, but the very stratosphere of the Doctor Who fandom would well and truly implode in a cataphoric ball of timey-wimey stuff if Christopher Nolan ever did sign up to contribute to the Time Lord's adventures. With a momentous multitude of award-winning movies to his name, including Momento, the Dark Knight trilogy and Inception, it's safe to say that Christopher's mind is definitely wired in the way that only the mind of a Doctor Who writer could - and should - be. His latest blockbuster, the intergalactic incursion known as Interstellar, defies the realms of space and time relativity itself with a mesmerising narrative arc so mind-blowingly magnificent it makes all of Steven Moffat's timey-wimey efforts look like a walk in the park. Watching Christopher's cinematic contributions, one does wonder if he watched Doctor Who as a child, and, as one of the most talented filmmakers of modern cinema, it would be a remarkable moment if he ever got the chance to make a big impression on the small screen.
