5 Reasons Pushing Daisies Should Be Revived On Netflix
3. The Supporting Cast
As the unrequited love of the pie maker, Olive often stole the show through her operatic one-woman musical numbers. She was the perfect character for anyone watching at home who's ever felt the sting of a love that can never be felt back to them. Detective Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) was the kind of character that was always unimpressed by most things to a hilarious degree. McBride was the perfect showcase for a detective that's just stone-cold cynical more often than not. He had a great bromance with Ned because they could both equally share in each other's constant misery for everyday life. As Chuck's two aunts and legal guardians Lily (Swoosie Kurtz) and Vivian (Ellen Greene) were the quirky, older ladies that had minimal screen time, but always had maximum impact. Their involvement of the show was comparatively smaller than the four prominent characters, but their scenes were always highly memorable regardless. Each of these characters worked wonders for the show's narrative and deserve more screen time in equal doses with a third season.
