5 Star Trek Actors Who Are NOT Returning For Picard Season 3

4. Alison Pill

Alison Pill was the first to confirm that she would not be returning for the third season. This is, in this writer's opinion, a huge shame. There was no secret to the fact that the first season struggled with how to properly develop Juratti as a character. It was with a little trepidation that the reviews began for the second season - but talk about a turnaround.

Without question, Alison Pill was the MVP of Picard season two. Her growth - from mild-mannered scientist to a new breed of Borg Queen - is one of the best arcs in the recent era of Star Trek. By the show's final, it was clear that this new type of Borg were a fascinating new take on an old foe.

It did, however, make sense to the character that she wouldn't be returning. While promoting her film All My Puny Sorrows, she said that she wasn't a part of the third season, and would be watching along with everyone else. She will be missed.
