3. Girls
The concept of Girls is nothing new. A group of single girls living in the city trying to make something out of themselves. The difference is the tone which these Girls adopt. They have a free-spirited unapologetic attitude and undefined sexual boundaries. They represent a generation of people who are trying to raise their voice and be heard, only to be shut and denied. Theyre rough and raw, with an honestly sarcastic point of view. Lena Dunham often gets naked on camera, shamelessly exposing her far from perfect body, standing for what hipsters stand for - a break from the mainstream photoshopped media. The Girls might not be hipsters (Hannah kind of is) but they're aiming for that audience.
