5 TV Comedies All About Hipsters

4. Bored To Death

Bored to Death The show looks, sounds and feels cool. And it€™s set and shot in Brooklyn, which is the home of the hipsters, after all. Everything about this show screams hipster: Jonathan is an struggling writer, one of those classical ones that you can tell just by looking that he€™s in a lot of pain. His girlfriend breaks up with him, so he decides to become a private investigator. His best friend, Ray, is a comic book writer with an interesting beard style from Brooklyn and his other friend, George, is an older old-fashioned liberal magazine editor by day and women and marijuana lover by night. There€™s something very unexpected about their friendship because each of them is so peculiar. They are closeted hipsters, forced to blend in with their surroundings but restless for some carefree, often illegal, adventure. It mostly concentrates on the investigative work of Jonathan which sometimes is easy to solve and other times leaves them hanging from a tower clock, literally.
