5 TV Revivals That Were Worth The Wait
3. Cold Feet
With networks in the US reviving shows left, right and centre, British channel ITV decided to join the party by bringing back one of their most celebrated series. Cold Feet, which aired during the late '90s, captivated British audiences during its initial five-series run, so there were high hopes for the revival.
There was a danger in relaunching Cold Feet, however, as the series was as quintessential '90s as one could possibly get, so reviving it in a modern era could've easily backfired. In spite of this, the comeback series is every bit as compelling as the original iteration.
Adam, Jenny, Pete, Karen and David may no longer be in their thirties, but their friendship has clearly stood the test of time - a fact that is demonstrated tremendously by Mike Bullen's witty and compelling scripts. What's more, the revival also focuses on the protagonists' children - who were babies during the original run - which adds a whole new dynamic to the classic dramedy.
Due to the success of the revival, ITV subsequently commissioned two more series', and all of them have been as equally engaging as their '90s counterpart.
