5 TV Shows That Should Become Movies

2. NCIS

What: NCIS is a police procedural drama series that started in 2003 on CBS and has aired nine seasons so far and will air its tenth season later this year. It follows a team of Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) agents who conduct investigations on crimes involving the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Due to its popularity, it has created a spin-off called NCIS: Los Angeles, which started in 2009. NCIS has consistently placed number 1 in ratings and viewers for primetime shows and even runs on syndication on multiple cable networks as well. Why: In case you didn't realize, NCIS is huge. I'm not even sure why. It's a new episode with a new story every time with only trickles of continuity every now and then. I don't know what keeps bringing people back, but I do know that whatever it is, it works. Some days I would turn on the TV at 3 p.m. and an NCIS marathon would be on. Once my tummy starts rumbling and I blink, it's already 8 p.m. How in the hell did that happen! Where did my five hours go! I'll never know. Needless to say, this stuff is addictive. If I can sit through five hours of it, I can sure as hell sit through a movie - maybe three of them in a row - and I know I'm not the only one. Let's face it, the writing is quite good and a focused movie on a grand scale would make viewers extremely happy. That and it would probably make tons of money. Why else make a movie?
