5 Ups & 2 Downs From Doctor Who Series 12 - The Haunting Of Villa Diodati

Ups!

5. Everything Was Explained

Though we had a lot to take mental note of throughout the course of the first half-ish of the episode, the reveal that Percy Shelley was this 'guardian' brought about a solid explanation as to how the events of the last thirty-odd minutes had come about. It transpires that when the Cyberium was absorbed into his being, he became a 'ghost,' mostly unseen by the others in the house.

Not only that, but as a security measure for the Cyberium, a perception filter created a house within a house, causing our cast of characters to walk in circles. A trope of Series 11 was to have details brought up during an episode, but never to be resolved. With such a mass of things needing to be clarified, the fact it was all nicely tied up truly shows that this new series of Who has matured more than we could have hoped for.

Born in Theatre, sits at a Computer. After over a decade of tinkering with Video Editing software, Rich gets to spend his precious time editing whatever's thrown at him. Also the go-to for Doctor Who, and could tell you why Sans Serif fonts are better than most. Still occasionally tap dances under the desk.
