5 Ways Marvel Should Assemble The Avengers TV Show

1. A Funny Thing Happened On The Road To The Initiative

One potential route for an Avengers show would be to focus on minor S.H.I.E.L.D excursions that took place before, during and after the events of The Avenegers. Utilising cast assets like Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson) and Cobie Smaulders (Maria Hill), the writers could add significant context and background to the storyline of the Tesseract and Loki€™s invasion alongside Thanos€™ forces while also providing us with some great, charming standalone adventures of their own. The possibilities on this front would be pretty near endless, a thought which should no doubt cross the team€™s minds when they€™re mapping out their first season. This approach has worked before, via the €˜Marvel One-Shots€™ attached to the Blu-Ray versions of the Phase One movies- Thor contained €˜A Funny Thing Happened On The Road To Thor€™s Hammer€™, while the upcoming Assemble DVD boasts a ten-minute mini-film called €˜Item 47€™ which sees a couple accidentally stumble upon leftover Chitauri technology and use it to achieve their own ends. The general fan response to these shorts has been overwhelmingly positive, so it isn€™t a stretch too far to think that episodes taking the same kind of light-hearted stance on the chronology and universe would be met with a similarly upbeat reception. Cameos every now and then from Samuel L Jackson and the titular team€™s stars wouldn€™t go amiss, of course€
