6 Reasons Why You Need To Watch Ted Lasso

2. Its Optimism

When Ted first arrives in Richmond, he posts a big sign above his door that simply says 'Believe'. For those who first watch the show, this might seem a bit over the top but it really proves to be something more than that. It's a mantra for Ted, a way of life.

The whole show is permeated with this eternal optimism, in spite of the negatives that seem to be surrounding Richmond and its manager. Whether it's the actions of his apathetic, self-absorbed star player, or the take no prisoners captain, Ted Lasso never loses sight of what he wants for his team.

In some ways, he'd rather see his players happy rather than win. What is important to him most is the well being of his friends and cohorts, not their position in the league. Though it is dire.

Perhaps the best thing is that you'll never finish up an episode of Ted Lasso and feel worse for it, it'll always give you a lift and that is hard to do for any show, anywhere. Yet, this Apple TV+ offering has that magic in spades.
