6 Reasons You Should Have Watched Netflix's Daybreak
2. Krysta Rodriguez
As we've just mentioned, Daybreak's whole cast is undeniably its greatest weapon but not even that could sum up just how brilliant Krysta Rodriguez is in the role of Ms. Crumble/The Witch.
Like the show itself, The Witch is one of the most unintentionally hilarious (and terrifying) characters on the show and yet one of the most intelligent. An eccentric character that walks the line between the undead and the living, she stands apart from everyone else - and, without giving away intricate details about who she is, she's a character that, given her role, shouldn't necessarily come across as so lovable. And yet she does, as Rodriguez effortlessly brings those eccentricities to life, becoming Ms. Crumble and making even the most unbelievable things seem that little bit more believable.
She's incredibly engaging and, in spite of the character's circumstances, you'll find yourself falling more and more in love with her.
Rodriguez is a veteran of stage and screen, having performed on Broadway and appeared in TV shows like Smash, Quantico and Chasing Life, but this is her long overdue chance to shine - and she is nothing short of a revelation here.
