7 Greatest Game Of Thrones Monologues

"By what right does the wolf judge the lion?"

Game of Thrones probably shouldn't be popular. With nine months between seasons, and only ten episodes per season, the incredibly complicated plotlines€”to say nothing of the names and titles of the multitude of characters€”would normally be fairly easy to forget over a hiatus. The show is based on a book series that is thousands of pages long and still being written. The episodes of such a show pretty much need to be exceptional in order to maintain an audience. Fortunately, Game of Thrones delivers. Even if the writing were awful, the high production value and the massive book fans who happen to run the show guarantee that the cinematography alone would be enough to keep at least some of us riveted. Fortunately, however, the writing is not awful, and the remarkable performances of the cast have managed to elevate more than a few monologues into some of the most memorable scenes of the entire series. After all, no show can be entirely about ice zombies and homicidal preteens. So, here are seven of the very best monologues from the three seasons of Game of Thrones so far.
