7 Reasons Why The Third Doctor Changed The Course Of Doctor Who

1. Colorization

twodoctorsomega The Third Doctor era was the first to be in full color, which is one of the biggest reasons why the era changed the course of the program. Everyone was used to seeing Doctor Who in black and white, and when Spearhead from Space was first aired, it was a complete difference to the viewer. Costumes were much more vibrant and colorful, scenery was detailed. Some not as well as others, but this was the Seventies, and to be honest, the most important thing was story quality. But even if the colorization gave away the wobbly sets, it still made the show enjoyable, and very much loved as it still is today. I would say seeing Daleks and the TARDIS console room in full color finally was probably one of the biggest moments. Click "next" below for our final conclusion;
