7 Ups & 5 Downs From The Arrowverse In 2019

1. A Crossover For The Ages

Five years of nods, teases and Easter Eggs came to fruition in December as Crisis On Infinite Earths finally kicked off. An Endgame of sorts for the Arrowverse, the first three installments served as the collective midseason finale for the shared universe of heroes, as the red skies finally showed up and the Anti-Monitor's wave of antimatter ripped through the multiverse, destroying every earth in sight - including Birds of Prey's Earth-203.

The annual crossover has become a tradition for The CW, with each new one upping the ante and taking the Arrowverse in a new and exciting direction. This one, however, took things that much further.

With an overwhelming sense of dread, admirably high stakes and DC Universe cameos galore, Crisis started with a bang and, so far, has lived up to the five years of teasing. It's been a main-event-level experience that you rarely get on television and it would have been at home in a more cinematic environment. And perhaps most important of all, it's set the stage for a game-changing 2020 for the Arrowverse.

So far, so great for Crisis On Infinite Earths...
