7 Ups & 5 Downs From The Arrowverse In 2019

2. Supergirl Shines Bright

As far as each respective half season this year goes, there's a solid case to be made for the likes of Arrow Season 8, The Flash Season 6 and Supergirl Season 4 in terms of which one reigned supreme. However, taking the whole year of Arrowverse programming into account (that's both the spring and fall seasons), the most consistent of all shows has to be Supergirl.

The back half of the Girl of Steel's fourth season was nothing short of a triumph as, in spite of its political tone, it laid off its occasionally on-the-nose dialogue and allowed the natural progression of its storyline to take precedence with both the Red Daughter subplot and the reign of Lex Luthor giving it the chance to shine for the first time in too long.

Though its fifth season hasn't quite reached those triumphant highs, it's still been consistent enough to allow the Girl of Steel to hold her own against the admittedly brilliant comebacks of both Arrow and The Flash.

This really has been Supergirl's year.
