7 Ups & 5 Downs From The Arrowverse In 2019
5. Arrow & The Flash Massively Improved In The Second Half
If you look back at the beginning of the year, you'll see that neither Arrow or The Flash were in great places. The former failed to follow-up the strong first half of its seventh season as a lack of interest involving its main villain resulted in the whole thing collapsing in on itself, while the latter's dull fifth season went round in circles over and over again (until it was ultimately saved by an incredible finale).
Thankfully, the creative teams of both shows took it upon themselves to ensure that the next seasons would be much stronger and it really does go without saying that they succeeded. Reinvigorated by the focus on the impending Crisis, The Flash found its heart for the first time in too long, while Arrow saved the best for last and produced its best season in almost five years.
It's taken a long time but the two shows that the Arrowverse revolves around are finally back at the top of the mountain.
