8 DC Comics Characters The Arrowverse Has Saved
3. Captain Cold
We already talked about his buddy Mick Rory earlier, but the turnaround of Captain Cold in the Arrowverse has been even better than Heat Wave's.
Yes, apart from Reverse-Flash, Captain Cold was probably always the second most recognisable enemy of the Flash - even if just for his distinctive woolly parka and goggles.
On the page, Leonard Snart is the worst of the worst. Often depicted as a callous killer with a thirst for money and power, there isn't really much to redeem Captain Cold. In short, he's a character you love to hate. In The Flash and later Legends of Tomorrow, though, he's a character you just plain love.
While it's kind of disappointing that we haven't had a proper adaptation of the Rogues on TV yet, Cold himself has been fleshed out far more than he is in the comics. Snart was always a criminal with a code and, over the seasons, he grew into someone willing to sacrifice himself and be a hero. Through it all, though, he never lost his signature cool demeanour and sharp tongue.
Wentworth Miller is always awesome when he shows up and the last seasons of these shows were really missing a regular role for Snart. He's probably one of the Arrowverse's MVPs and he needs to be brought back properly soon.
