8 Heroes Most Likely To Die During Crisis On Infinite Earths

5. The Atom

One of the elements of Crisis on Infinite Earths that many are looking forward to, is getting the chance to see the ever-charming Brandon Routh pulling double duty as Ray Palmer/The Atom and an alt-world Superman.

Whereas we’ll get to the fate of the crossover’s three Supermen shortly, it looks as if Crisis could mean curtains for The Atom.

It’s been known for several months now that Routh is soon to leave DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, although it’s not been confirmed when exactly the actor will be departing during Legends’ upcoming fifth season.

Given that Legends of Tomorrow will be incorporated into the five-episode, five-show Crisis, what more impactful way to bring back the ragtag Legends crew than by killing off one of their mainstay members?

Routh’s Ray has been around since Legends of Tomorrow began – hell, the character actually debuted back during Arrow’s third season – so if any Legend is to end up offed during Crisis, there are few deaths that would carry the same emotional fallout as the demise of the much-liked Ray Palmer character.

Added to that, Crisis on Infinite Earths is also introducing Ryan Choi - a character who just so happens to also take on the Atom moniker in the comic books.
