8 Reasons Why You Should Binge Superstore On Netflix

4. It Encompasses A Microcosm Of Society

Inside the store, where 90% of the show is shot, there is a small but definite representation of a microcosm society that ebbs and flows as much as a country as a whole. This is one of the funniest things about the show, as people from all places and backgrounds come together to form a community that at its best is shown to care for one another, and at its worst, stab each other in the back.

Each area has its pros and cons, and the general staff are representative of a labour workforce that answer to higher society, ie the management who are all on huge salaries and benefits. With corporate representing the government that presides over all daily business.

It really does have a layered social tier within the walls of Cloud 9 and it shows how quickly fortunes change within it, both for the management and the floor staff. Over the run of the show, there are several changes in the cast and as the show got bigger more stories created for the supporting members that really round out the show as a subtle look at society as a whole.
