8 Reasons Why You Should Binge Superstore On Netflix

2. It Has All The Sitcom Tropes You Can Handle

However well the story is laid out, this is a show that still adheres to the strict sitcom tradition of the 'will they, won't they couple', 'the weird but loveable couple', and 'the hard-ass work personality that has a slight amount of authority over the rest and therefore uses it brutally'.

Superstore just knows what it is and strives to expand upon that by injecting real-world issues on top of the sitcom feel that permeates the series. However, fans of things like this do demand the same the clichés that have made so many sitcoms before it great and Superstore adheres to that no end.

Jonah and Amy's relationship follows the old routine that Jim & Pam and Ross & Rachel danced before them, Dina is the Dwight Schrute or Gareth Keenan of the group, and Glenn is a kind of Michael Scott. All the characters have that old Cheers-esq preset story to them, which itself has been updated over the years incrementally, and makes for such good TV.

For fans of easy to guess and relaxing 30-minute episodes, Superstore is just that.
