Say what you want about the TV movie, but Eric Robert's incarnation of the Master showed great potential. Thankfully, with Big Finish, this potential is finally being explored. Robert's has returned a handful of times to portray the Master once more, but now he is finally getting his own series.
The TV movie Master is shown to be menacing, malevolent and "always dressed for the occasion". We are about to see what happened to this Master after his fate in the 1996 special.
2021 is the 50th anniversary of the Master and so there seems like no better time for Roberts to get his own spin-off. This story is set to be a real sci-fi adventure, and with the Daleks thrown in, this new Master series should be something truly spectacular.
