9 Doctor Who Big Finish Releases You Should Be Excited For In 2021
1. The Ninth Doctor Adventures
The Ninth Doctor Returns! Still feels fantastic to say that. Of course this had to be the number one release to look out for this year. In May, August and November (and a fourth volume coming in 2022), we are treated to Christopher Eccleston's return to Doctor Who.
The first volume, written exclusively by Nicholas Briggs, will see our first adventures with the Ninth Doctor since 2005. The stories included in this first volume include, Sphere of Freedom, Cataclysm and Food Fight.
Eccleston has said it was "lovely coming back to play the role again" and that his return is greatly owed to Brigg's writing of the first set. And if this review isn't enough to get you excited for these stories, then what will?
We still do not know what to expect from the remaining volumes, but I'm sure we must be in for a surprise or two. This series is almost certainly Big Finish's biggest of the year, and will probably bring a lot of new fans to everyone's favourite audio drama giant.
