9 Unmissable New TV Shows Starring Doctor Who Actors
4. A.K.A. Jessica Jones
Clearly not content with being associated with just one of the world's most formidable fantasy franchises (OK, make that three - he's been in Harry Potter and Star Wars, too!), David Tennant will be leaving his mark on the Marvel universe in their upcoming series A.K.A. Jessica Jones. The Tenth Doctor star will take on the role of Zebediah Killgrave, also known as the Purple Man, in the Netflix original, who, for those of you aren't overly familiar with the ever expanding mythology, is a human mutant who produces pheromones which allow him to verbally control the actions of others. He's purple, too, if you hadn't already guessed that from his name. He's an arch nemesis of Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, who rebuilds her life as a private eye after a tragic end to her brief superhero career. It's safe to say that Kilgrave's reappearance will shake up her life but fans will just have to wait and see what else he's got up his sleeve for his old foe. All will be revealed when the series lands on Netflix later this year...
