9 Things That Need To Happen Before Brooklyn Nine-Nine Ends

8. Rosa Becomes A Godmother

Brooklyn Nine Nine
NBC

On the surface, this one might seem a little out there.

Rosa and children don't necessarily mix: she enjoys her private, motorcycle-riding, leather jacket-wearing lifestyle, and it's hard to see where a child would fit into that. That's actually part of the reason that Rosa is such an interesting character: the other two of the show's female leads have become mothers, and that isn't something that seems to rank highly on Rosa's list of concerns.

But in the final episode of season 7, we see Rosa go from "there's no way I'm being present when you give birth" to actually helping Amy deliver her baby.

It was a heartwarming moment that embodied the solidarity between Rosa and Amy, and showed a side of Rosa that we don't often glimpse.

Jake and Amy's son Mac - short for McClane, because he's Jake's son, after all - will undoubtedly have godparents, and it seems as though there's no better candidate for a Godmother than Rosa.

She might not be the warmest or most nurturing person in the world, but she's kind and selfless and she helped bring the baby into the world, and she's already consented to be called Auntie Ro-Ro.
