8. Benioff & Weiss forgot about quite a lot
Dan Weiss saying the reason Rhaegal died is because "Daenerys sort of forgot about the Iron Fleet" has become an infamous meme, and something that has been rightly ridiculed in the year since the show's conclusion.
Well, Dany wasn't the only one to forget a few things, as Benioff and Weiss forgot a few things about their own show, the most egregious being in The Bells when the ringing of bells means the city has surrendered. Yet in the season 2 episode Blackwater, Davos states "I've never known bells to mean surrender", and Varys stating that bells signal a city under siege.
It shouldn't be a big thing but the show made several mentions of this so it's difficult to ignore.
Other things include them saying Daenarys isn't like her father, the Mad King, just before pretty much turning her into her father. Then theres Jamie claiming he doesn't care about thousands of innocent lives, but he fought the Army of the Dead specifically for the innocent. Not to mention the losses that her armies took both in the Battle of Casterly Rock and the Long Night, yet in the finale her armies seem as large as ever.
