7. Gambon Wasn’t The Only One With A Double Role

Maybe Gambon thought he didn't do very well because he was exhausted from playing two different parts?

Not only did he appear as Kazran, he also played his cruel father Elliot, the man who set in motion his son's wicked ways. It makes sense that the crew wanted to get as much Gambon as they could, but he wasn't the only one pulling double duty.

Young Bailey Pepper appeared first as Benjamin's son (the kid who lobs some coal at Kazran's head) and then later as the younger version of Benjamin, who enjoys Christmas dinner with the Eleventh Doctor, Kazran, and Abigail.

Funnily enough, Pepper had appeared in an episode of the BBC soap opera Doctors the year before he was in Doctor Who.
