Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D: Here's What The New Ghost Rider Looks Like

Vengeance comes (minus the flamey head).

Having been mangled horribly by Nic Cage twice, Ghost Rider was very much in the same boat as The Punisher before Marvel and Netflix conspired to make him cool again. In other words, he was on the scrap heap, considered a joke more than anything else and never really viable as a screen character.

Thankfully, it seems Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. want to go the same way as Daredevil by giving the Rider a new lease of life. It might not be the same character, but the introduction of Robbie Reyes allows for the spirit of the Ghost Rider character to flourish without the reductive influence of proximity to Cage's performance.

And thanks to EW, we now have our first look at Gabriel Luna as Reyes as he'll appear in the first episode of season 3 of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Inevitably, they're holding his fiery Rider persona for a grand reveal in the show, but it's good to see that he's a close adaptation of the comic book version.

We've also already had a brief look at Reyes' car thanks to the marketing campaign too:
