Agents Of SHIELD: 10 Reasons Season 2 Is A Massive Improvement
6. New Agents (Especially Bobbi Morse)
This season has added some new faces to the team and hasn't been afraid to kill some off either. Lucy Lawless, a huge genre name, was killed off after one season while poor Trip, beloved by many, died right at the end of the mid-season finale. Though it's fairly easy to assume that Phil and Skye are protected, none of the others are necessarily guaranteed to end the season. Joining the cast have been Nick Blood as sarcastic Brit mercenary Lance Hunter and Henry Simmons as Mack. Hunter has had a large share of the action so far, so much so that Trip was rendered surplus to requirements. Hunter provides much of the humour of this darker second season. Mack has been the least developed, though, when possessed, the actor displayed a ferocious physicality. The best addition by far, however, is the gorgeous Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse, known as Mockingbird in the comics. Amazonian in stature and wielding two billy clubs, Bobbi has become the show's Black Widow. Add in that she is Hunter's ex-wife and she is like a great big firework thrown into the series. There's also a whiff of intrigue about her; what is the thumb drive that she and Mack are keeping secret? Can all of these new agents be trusted? Remember Ward?
