More characters in American Horror Story may be related than you first thought. Many fans had already noticed that Coven's Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts) shares the same name as Charles and Nora Montgomery, the couple who first built and then lived in Season 1's murder house back in the 1920's. Now that Murphy has revealed that each season is connected, it's hard to imagine that this shared family name was used purely as a coincidence. Madison is a young witch who lost control of her powers and was sent to Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies. The teen actress had already made a name for herself in Hollywood, growing up in the same city that the murder house is located. Coincidence? It's also worth noting that Charles Montgomery was successfully able to resurrect his dead son by sewing the separated body parts back together again. While it's never officially explained how Thaddeus was exactly brought back from the dead, resurrection is regularly seen as an ability that the witches are capable of later in season three, suggesting that perhaps there is a magical bloodline in the Montgomery family that dates back even further than we though. Charles is male, but perhaps his wife Nora somehow played a part in this too.
