Arrow: 10 Characters That Totally Need To Be Introduced

Adding these guys would really help the show hit the bullseye (I'm so, so sorry).

CW's Arrow has gone from strength to strength since it's pilot episode and is now one of, if not the, best shows currently airing on television. It's paved the way for a different way of getting comic book characters screen time. The show follows the story of Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow. A billionaire who by night takes up the bow and fights crime in his native Starling City. He's joined by Diggle, Felicity, Black Canary and other friends. Series One was a massive hit but the second series has been astonishingly good. If they can continue on this path then we should be seeing Arrow on our screens for quite some time. I recently discussed five characters Arrow should kill off, this time I'm back to discuss ten characters that Arrow needs to introduce. How many of these characters we will see on the show remains to be seen but each of the selections can help to take Arrow to the next level of TV entertainment. In the following article I'll state who should be joining the shows cast, why and how they could be introduced into the programme. Beware, there are minor SPOILERS if you're not up to date with season two.

10. Hal Jordan/Green Lantern

This is the most farfetched of my ten selections but before you kiss your teeth and click the 'next' button, hear me out! In the early 1970's Green Arrow and Green Lantern teamed up to fight crime. They made a brilliant duo as their skills complimented each other but the most interesting factor was the background stories for both, as this led to the pair disagreeing on many social, economical and political points. On their travels they met Black Canary, a guardian and Roy Harper €“ any of those sound familiar? The chances of Green Lantern being introduced to the show are very slim as Hal Jordan has had movie screen time (it still counts no matter how awful it was) and due to the fact that Lanterns powers don't quite fit in with the direction of the show. However, due to the pairs comic book history it would be fantastic to see the appearance of Hal Jordan simply for nostalgic reasons. Even a cameo appearance would suffice. Perhaps Oliver could discover a weird alien compound, which Green Lantern shows up to clean up. More likely though is an appearance of Hal Jordan without his alter-ego. As Jordan is a pilot it could certainly happen, I could see him having some sort of role in the island flashbacks.
