Arrow: 10 Questions We're Asking After Beyond Redemption

9. Is Felicity Set To Become Oracle?

This isn't particularly referenced in the episode, but the similarities have long been noticeable between Arrow's Felicity Smoak and the Batman character, Barbara Gordon (the original title for The Secret Origins of Felicity Smoak was 'Oracle'). This week, with the introduction of the new hi-tech Arrow Lair only reaffirmed that, and the site of Felicity in that chair at the computer was very much reminiscent of Oracle (she even made a reference about not being used to the chair). Last week she said that she needed a codename, and it has been speculated in the past they'd be taking elements of the character for Felicity, so could the name be one of them, or is it too linked at this stage to Batman? Speaking of codenames, we still haven't got one for Diggle yet either, and it surely can't be too much longer before we're finding out what it's going to be (whether it's the oft-mooted Guardian or something else). Even Captain Lance gets a name this week, although it's perhaps not the best cover-up. "Detective."
