Arrow: 9 Mistakes It Must Avoid In Season 4

8. Putting Diggle On The Sideline

John Diggle€™s fatherhood had a big impact on his role within Team Arrow last season, which saw him at times given a reduced role within the group. There was logic behind the move, because he had a family to think about. When the show did give him his big family moment €“ his wedding day €“ they turned it into half-cooked Suicide Squad episode that did little to service the character. Then, towards the end of the season, there is Oliver/Al Sah-him€™s betrayal, as he kidnaps Diggle€™s wife, Lyla, and leaves his infant daughter home alone. It gave Diggle more of a focus, but in the process severed the brother-like bond between him and Oliver. Season 4 will need to work on repairing that, while restoring Diggle to his rightful place within the team, because if Felicty is the brains behind it, then Diggle is the heart. It needs him to work, even if it does involve him putting on a mask.
