Arrow: 9 Mistakes It Must Avoid In Season 4

4. Death Doesn€™t Mean Dead

Oliver was killed by Ra€™s al Ghul€but then he came back. Thea was killed by Ra€™s al Ghul€but then she came back. Roy was supposedly killed (not by Ra€™s al Ghul)€but then it turned out the whole thing was faked. Sara was killed and definitely dead, with her death providing the catalyst for many of the events of the season, but now even she is set to come back in some form in new spin-off show Legends of Tomorrow. In season 3 the dead refused to stay that way. While no one necessarily wants those characters to die, it does take something away from the prospect of a character€™s death in the show. When Tommy died in season 1, or Moira in season 2, those deaths were final, and the impact on the show was evident. It doesn€™t need to go down the route of killing off major players just for shock value, but it makes for a better show if there is genuine risk for characters the audience care about. The producers have said that they won€™t just be using the Lazarus Pit to bring back characters at will, which is good to hear (although chances are that€™s what€™ll be used to resurrect Sara), so it€™ll be good that if a character does happen to die in season 4, they stay that way, as it€™ll mean more to those watching the show and the characters in it.
